Cloud Network Engineer with Security Clearance

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing and a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, cloud deployment models, and cloud security.
The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, as well as ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our cloud environment.
With minimal direction, provides support, analysis and research into exceptionally complex problems and processes relating to the subject matter.
Serves as technical expert on executive-level project teams providing technical direction, interpretation and alternatives.
Thinks independently and demonstrates exceptional written and oral communications skills.
Applies extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines.
Guides the successful completion of major programs and may function in a project leadership role.
Develops technical solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
Work is performed without appreciable direction.
Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.
Expertise is in a particular area of Information Technology (e.
g.
, Information Systems Architecture, Telecommunications Systems Design, Architecture, Implementation, Information Systems Integration, Software Development Methodologies, Security Engineering, Communications and Network Systems Management).
Responsibilities:
o Planning, performing, and documenting laboratory assessments of hardware and software for both the classified and unclassified DISN Services to ensure proper connectivity and operations between the DLA WAN, the DLA's NOC, and DISA's NOCs.
o Coordinating with the government customer to create a Technology Assessment Plan (TAP) to include the objectives, scope, equipment and configurations, technical approach, procedures, schedules, and roles and responsibilities required to complete the DLA LAN technology refresh and upgrades.
These assessments may include independent cost estimates.
o Preparing After Action Reports (AAR) that document the approach taken, results, recommendations and supporting rationale.
o Identifying new and emerging network capabilities as well as developing product evaluation and selection criteria.
o Familiarity in a DoD Hosted Cloud Environment with expert level experience working with cloud native technologies.
o Developing system evaluations methods and procedures.
o Producing formal documentation of recommendations for executive briefings.
o Ensuring interoperability between DLA WAN and DISN network equipment and services.
o Planning and tracking of implementation tasks.
o Extensive experience with enterprise network design and sustainment, including routing, switching, data center, and cloud technology areas.
o Creating necessary supporting configuration artifacts such as network maps, detailed designs, test plans, operations readiness test reports, device configurations, and maintenance processes and procedures.
o Providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) engineering services to government customer.

8 yearso Required Certifications:
DoD 8570 IAT Level III Compliant Certification; Cisco Certified Network Professional Enterprise (CCNP-E) certification; Computing Environment Certifications; Must be able to obtain the following certification within 6 months from hire date:
CheckPoint Certified Security Administrator (CCSA).

Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS and/or Cloudo Location:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
