In this role, you will handle many of the basic administrative duties in our office location in Burke.
After having been entirely virtual since the onset of the COVID pandemic, we re-opened our office to in-person tutoring sessions again in August and had an amazing and busy fall.
Now, moving into Spring '24, we need your help! Location:
In-person at our office in Burke, Virginia.
Part Time Hours:
Mon-Fri, 3pm-9pm & Sat-Sun, 9am-9pm (shifts/hours divided equitably between the two selected candidates).
Select major holidays off.
Pay Rate:
$20-25 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will independently handle most office administrative tasks, including:
Discussing and pitching our services to potential clients whether in-person or via phone, text, or email; Answering/returning phone calls, and responding to texts and emails; Assisting current clients with any minor issues, such as cancellations, schedule changes, and billing; Providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office; Typing, scanning, copying, binding, filing; Organizing physical and online files and resources; Screening tutoring candidate applications and on-boarding new tutors; Scheduling; Taking attendance (in-person and for on-going Zoom sessions); Client billing and invoicing; Taking and recording payments; Purchasing, organizing, stocking, and inventorying office materials; Assisting with office d cor projects; Supporting Tutoring team by performing tasks related to organization and strong communication; Maintaining the office in a clean and presentable condition; and Performing other duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative position and/or customer service in a professional office setting Tech-savvy, skilled with most office-use software, comfortable learning new software Excellent communication skills Highly organized and detail-oriented Professional, friendly, and positive Driven and comfortable taking initiative Reliable and consistent Preference given to multi-lingual candidates (Spanish, in particular) Job Type:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
