Springfield, VA Signature Federal Systems is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Cyber Security Analyst, Principal, to join our team in the Springfield, Virginia areaIn this position you'll help protect our national security while working on innovative projects that offer opportunities for advancementResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:
o Provides detection, identification, and reporting of possible cyber-attacks/intrusions, anomalous activities, and misuse activitieso Characterizes and performs analysis of network traffic and system data to identify anomalous activity and potential threats to resourceso Performs security event and incident correlation using information gathered from a variety of sources within the enterpriseo Performs cyber incident triage to include determining scope, urgency, and potential impact; identify the specific vulnerability and make recommendations which enable expeditious remediationo Tracks and documents cyber incidents from initial detection through final resolutiono Analyzes and assesses damage to the data / infrastructure as a result of cyber incidentso Performs cyber incident trend analysis and reporting Basic
Qualifications:
o Minimum Education:
B.
Sor equivalent experience in related fieldo Minimum 7 years of relevant experienceo CSSP-IR certification requiredo IAT Level II (GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security) certification requiredo Proficient in Windows and Linux operating systems.
o Experience working in a Cybersecurity Operations Center environment desiredo Experience with COTS technologies used in a Cybersecurity Operations Center environment desiredo Working knowledge of current COTS Cybersecurity technologies.
o Working knowledge of database and operating system security.
o Understanding of latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
o Preferred
Qualifications:
o Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously; coordinating resources and ensuring scheduled goals are met.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
o Ability to effectively interact with various levels of senior management is necessary.
o Ability to make decisions and resolve problems effectively - Seek out information and data to evaluate, prioritize and formulate best solution or practice.
o Must be able to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team, share workloads, and deal with sudden shifts in project prioritiesPhysical Requirements:
o Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the timeo Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer o The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentationsMust be able to exchange accurate information in these situationso Must be able to detect information on a computer screen Recommended Skills Cisco Certified Network Associate Communication Computer Networks Coordinating Databases Infrastructure Management Apply to this job.
